CORE Education Trust is accredited as a Lead Practitioner Learning Centre by the Schools Students and Teachers network (SSAT). As a training centre, CORE will recruit, train and accredit people leading practice in their setting or give professional recognition to colleagues already in this role.

SSAT’s Lead Practitioner Accreditation programme improves the professional skills and expertise of all those involved in educating children and young people.

As a Lead Practitioner Learning Centre (LPLC), CORE Education Trust works with local schools and multi-academy trusts in the region, to improve the quality of education and identify local priorities. We work with colleagues across the board to deliver high quality training in learning leadership, and crucially, establish a support network which inspires, challenges and guides education professionals to ‘make a difference’.

We are now recruiting for 2024-25 cohorts.

“CORE Education Trust is a superb example of an SSAT Lead Practitioner Learning Centre. The vision for school-to-school improvement beyond the trust is inspiring and clearly demonstrates their total commitment to high quality education and in particular, in providing the very best experience for the children and young people across the region. Through their efforts and the action research of their LPs, they provide tangible insights into ‘what works’ in context, producing learning portfolios that will inform and educate others. A superb example of true collaboration with a focus on improving the learner experience.”

Key to achieving this is nurturing, through our Lead Practitioners, a highly skilled team of staff and supporting their practice to be at the vanguard of teaching and learning techniques. It is great to have our ambition recognized by SSAT and we are excited to build our knowledge and success in partnership with other schools in Birmingham.”
