Our first conference
We host our inaugural conference entitled ‘Delivering a CORE Education’. It’s at the heart of our ethos, encompassing all we believe and setting standards for future growth.
A new partnership
The arts are alive and well across Birmingham as CORE Education Trust partner with Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation.
2018
Growth continues
A huge expansion begins as CORE Education Trust sponsors City Academy, Jewellery Quarter Academy, Central Academy and Arena Academy.
Newly accredited
We become proudly accredited as the 100th Living Wage employer in the West Midlands, and a great place to grow a career in teaching.
Points of Light award
CORE CEO Adrian Packer receives a Points of Light award for Echo Eternal, with the Prime Minister Theresa May commenting: "You have enabled children of all faiths and backgrounds in Birmingham to learn about the Holocaust and play their part in ensuring that the testimony of British Holocaust survivors lives on for generations."

CBE for our CEO
Adrian Packer, CORE Chief Executive, is awarded the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to education in HM The Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Outstanding governance award
CORE Education Trust is recognised in the National Governance Association’s biennial outstanding governance awards at the Houses of Parliament.
World Record
300 children from CORE schools smash the world record for the largest fencing lesson.
2016
Defence secretary visits a CORE school
Michael Fallon, the defence secretary presents students taking part in the Combined Cadet Force (Army) section with their new berets and cap badge.
Rising to the challenge
CORE Education Trust is shortlisted in recognition of its work for 'successfully overcoming challenging circumstances' and 'leading change that had an impact on a school' in the Institute for Turnaround Annual Awards.
2015
CORE is born
Parkview Educational Trust becomes the CORE Education Trust focussing on Collaboration, Opportunity, Respect and Excellence – our four cornerstone values.
Parkview Educational Trust
Adrian Packer is appointed Executive Principal of Parkview Educational Trust and oversees the running of Park View School, Nansen Primary School and Golden Hillock School.
